High Holy Days & Festivals

Oseh Shalom celebrates the High Holy Days with awe and joy.  We encourage joining us in person if possible but on Zoom if your health or location necessitates that choice. Each year we offer programs geared to families, youth and teens with uplifting services filled with music, prayer and discovery. We offer family services for toddlers and elementary age students and their guardians. Teen services are for grades 6–12. We welcome those looking for a new community or just in the area for the High Holy Days. Everyone, including members, must register.

In addition to festival services for the 5786 High Holy Days, Oseh Shalom offered classes and events to make this season more meaningful. See our Calendar for dates and times or check the weekly Enews:

  • Barbecue and Barchu: Our Annual Kosher picnic, held in July or early August
  • Labor on the Bima: Focusing on our core value of justice for all
  • Back to Shul Night: A night of music, fun, food and spirit
  • Online Shofar Blasts on Tuesdays and Sundays during Elul, the month leading up to the HHDs
  • Daily Elul reflections to prepare for the High Holy Days
  • Slichot: Poetry Slam, Deset potluck and Service to introduce the High Holy Days
  • Tashlich in the Park with picnic after morning Rosh Hashanah services
  • Sukkah Hops at member homes to make friends and perform the mitzvah of eatig in a Sukkah
  • Simchat Torah dinner, services, music and dancing and unrolling of the entire Torah! Don’t miss it!
  • Farm to Table Sukkot multi-course gourmet vegetarian dinner presented by Chef Andy with environmental focus
