The Month of Elul is a time of soul searching and reflection as we prepare ourselves for the potential magnitude of the Days of Awe. It is during this time that we gather together for Slichot, the final gateway to the High Holy Days.
The Hebrew word “shir” means both song and poem. This year’s observation of Slichot We will mix the joy of singing together and a High Holy Day poetry slam, followed by a short service that warms us up for the sacred days ahead as we sing some of the special liturgy of these holy days.
