DESCRIPTION:The Month of Elul is a time of soul searching and reflection as
  we prepare ourselves for the potential magnitude of the Days of Awe. It i
 s during this time that we gather together for Slichot\, the final gateway
  to the High Holy Days.\n\n The Hebrew word “shir” means both song an
 d poem. This year’s observation of Slichot We will mix the joy of singin
 g together and a High Holy Day poetry slam\, followed by a short service t
 hat warms us up for the sacred days ahead as we sing some of the special l
 iturgy of these holy days. \n\n Join Oseh Shalom and Columbia Jewish Cong
 regation on Saturday\, September 13th\, beginning at 7:30 pm for a “Slic
 hot Shir Share and Poetry Slam” at Oseh Shalom. We will be meeting outsi
 de (weather permitting) for our program and service. Dress accordingly and
  bring a flashlight if needed for better vision. \n\n 7:30: Rosh Hashana
 h-themed potluck dessert reception\n\n7:45: Shir Share - We raise our voic
 es in song and poetry\, led by Rabbi Josh\, Rabbi Michael\, and you! (Regi
 ster below if you would like to offer a song or poem…please be prepared 
 to share how it connects to the season).\n\n8:45: Havdalah \n\n9:00: The
