Tikkun Leil Shavuot: A Joint Celebration of Torah and Cheesecake!

On Sunday night June 1 beginning at 7:30 pm at Oseh Shalom, (7515 Olive Branch Way, Laurel MD) the congregations of Oseh Shalom, Columbia Jewish Congregation, Mishkan Torah and Kol Halev will join together to celebrate the holiday of Shavuot.  After a short service led by the Cantors from three congregations there will be a series of study sessions lasting until about 11:00 pm.

Please bring a dairy dessert to share and be prepared to learn, study,  and grow spiritually.

TIKKUN LEIL SCHEDULE:

7:30pm – 8:00pm Musical Ma’ariv led by our Cantors

8:00 pm – 8:45 Workshop Block 1

Workshop A: Rabbi Josh Jacob-Velde will lead a lesson on The Light and Power of the Baal Shem Tov.

Workshop B: Rabbi Emily Stern will lead a visualization for Shavuot Yizkor for those who will not be doing it on the 2nd day of Shavuot.

Workshop A: Alan Rubenstein will lead a program on “The best of New Jewish Music that emphasize Shavuot Themes”  

Workshop B: Rabbi Michael Hess-Webber will lead a program

9:35 pm – 10 pm Cheesecake Break! (Bring your favorite cheesecake or dairy dessert to share! Vegan and gluten-free selections also encouraged)
