Hybrid: New Rules (Mishpatim) for a New Era – A Shabbat Morning Experience

What: This week, we encounter the Torah portion called Mishpatim/rules.  Do you feel like there are new rules at play in our country now?  Does it leave you feeling overwhelmed, like hiding or fighting, and generally at a bit of a loss?

Audre Lorde once said that “the master tools will ever dismantle the master’s house.” Clearly the rulebook has recently changed at the new levels, and it might just be the time to start developing the new tools to support the new rules by which we live, while maintaining the compassion and respect for human life that are core to our integrity.

Join Rabbi Daria for a special 90-minute Shabbat morning experience and come away with some new “rules” for this new era. The experience will be an alternative prayer and Torah study experience that includes quiet and sounding, stillness and movement, discussion and meditation, and Mourner’s Kaddish shortly before 11:30.
