“Grounding in Nature” Returns this Shabbat, 8/24. Do you love the outdoors? Did you know that many of our traditional prayers and practices come from a time when people were very connected to the outdoors? When we’re inside a building (even one as beautiful as Oseh Shalom’s), in a space lit by natural and artificial lighting, it can be hard to see these inspirations for our prayers and practices. Join Rabbi Daria this Shabbat morning starting at 10 am. We’ll start inside our sanctuary, and then – using an excerpted version of our prayer book- wander into the nearby woods in a way that opens our eyes, ears, hearts, and souls in new ways. We’ll return to Oseh to share together. (It is helpful to let Rabbi Daria know if you are coming, in case you are running a little late, so we can wait for you before heading out. Please email her at RabbiDaria@gmail.com). Do you want to join, but are only available to connect with us on zoom? Download a copy of the attached prayer book.
