Neurodiversity: To Nerd or Not to Nerd

October 2, 2025
2:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Neurodiversity, what is it and why should I care?  Yes! One in seven adults worldwide is neurodiverse, think of the that nerdy guy or gal from school or work who didn’t make eye contact, who didn’t get social cues, who taps a pencil endlessly, or has to be up moving.  Think of Aunt Edna with anxiety complex or Cousin George who is dyslexic.  They are all neurodiverse.   In this session, you’ll learn more about this very real syndrome and how you can respond sensitively so neurodiverse people feel welcome.  We have many neurodiverse members of all ages in our community.  These people are constantly asked to change to fit in better with the rest of us.  When should they change and when should we?  Come by and explore with us and share your story if you are or think you are neurodiverse.  This session will be moderated by Andy Lincoln and co-led by Melody Magnus of Racial Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Please join us.

In Person Only.
