Slichot, the gateway to the High Holy Days, will begin at Oseh Shalom at 7:00 PM. After the service and Havdalah we will show the powerful film about climate change, “From Paris to Pittsburgh.”
Slichot is the service that introduces us and prepares us for the spiritual effort that will take place over the next number of weeks stretching from Rosh Hashanah to Simchat Torah. We will begin at 7:00 PM with an introduction to Slichot. That will be followed with Havdalah. In honor of our upcoming celebration of the birthday of the world (Rosh HaShanah), we will then show the powerful film about climate change, “From Paris to Pittsburgh.” After the film there will be a dessert reception and film discussion with Pot-luck Rosh Hashanah-themed deserts.
The Slichot Service will begin about 9:45 PM.
