John Riehl has written an eloquent article in the Jewish Time and why the Yom Kippur Neilah service ends when it does. However, we recognize that, for some of our members, particularly, but not limited to, families with children, ending Yom Kippur close to 8:00 can be a real hardship. This year, for the first time, we’ll be offering a brief family-oriented alternative Neilah service for those who want to end Yom Kippur a little earlier. That service will begin around 6:00 PM and will be held in our tent. We won’t be Zooming that service, so come end Yom Kippur a bit early with us at Oseh and enjoy a leisurely break-the-fast at home with family and friends!
