Elul is the Jewish month preceding Rosh HaShannah, and a time when we begin to focus our reflection on who and how we have been, currently are, and want to be. For this year’s Elul programming, we are very excited to bring in director and teacher Louis Wells to help us as we prepare for the new year of 5786. This two-part program will use Louis’ background in powerful, fun applied improv practices to support us in just this kind of reflection. This is NOT about performing or improv comedy. It IS about using techniques from the improv theater world to help us see more clearly what we are perhaps unconsciously paying attention to, and what we might be missing. With this additional clarity, we can choose with greater intentionality the stories we want to tell about our life, what is, and what might be.
