As Jewish commentator, Naomi Klein observes, “Security comes from community and solidarity. Security comes from how solid [our] ties are, not what [we] own.” Many of us have heard in our social circles that people are starting to feel disconnected from other Jews, culture, and news. Connections that had been made so easily through various activities are now gone. Many in our community are feeling pulled by forces and emotions that they are struggling to comprehend.
Please join one of three sessions with members and friends of the congregation to talk about how we are coping in our new worldwide environment. To allow for full engagement the meeting will be limited to 6-8 members who will spend the 40 minutes considering one question: What challenges are you experiencing at this time (spiritually, emotionally, physically, etc)? This informational conversation is not designed as a space to provide solutions but to listen to the truths in each other’s lives, celebrate with each other, mourn with each other, and walk through life together.
