DESCRIPTION:This Shabbat we have two special speakers from LARS (Laurel Adv
 ocacy &amp\; Referral Services). Shannon Mouton\, the Executive Director\,
  and Jeff Bingham\, a Case Manager who was formerly homeless. Simultaneous
 ly\, we will be collecting boxed and canned goods for LARS as a part of Go
 od Deeds Week at Oseh Shalom. Please join us and bring some groceries with
  you. (Services will begin at 8 p.m. – their talk will be during the ser
 vice.)\n\n​Shannon Mouton\, LARS Executive Director\n\n\n\nSince becomin
 g a missionary at her church over 30 years ago\, Shannon Mouton has contin
 ued to serve\, in and out of season. She has given of her time and talents
  at various organizations throughout the DMV–Whitman-Walker Institute (f
 ormerly\, Whitman-Walker Clinic)\, Food &amp\; Friends\, Calvary Women’s
  Services and the Potter’s House Ministry of Ebenezer AME Church. Shanno
 n has served on numerous non-profit boards\, including Calvary Women’s S
 ervices\, the Phyllis Wheatley YWCA\, the IN Series and The George Washing
 ton Alumni Association. She is the founder of the Dr. Virginia M. Manning 
 Missionary Society (Jerusalem AME Church\, Clinton) and is currently a mem
 ber of the Alice Marie Chapman Missionary Society (Ebenezer AME Church\, F
 t. Washington). Shannon’s professional experiences in the corporate\, hi
 gher education and nonprofit sectors\, have afforded her opportunities to 
 build and strengthen communities\, launch innovative programs and bridge g
 enerational\, economic and racial divides. Shannon is a graduate of Mount 
 Vernon College\, now part of The George Washington University\, and she is
  humbled to serve as the Executive Director of Laurel Advocacy &amp\; Refe
 rral Services.\n\nJeffrey D. Bingham\, Case Manager\n\n\n\nJeffrey Bingham
  is an experienced case manager who has had the privilege of assisting tho
 se in need of housing for nine years. During that time\, he has served in 
 various capacities ranging from Housing Specialist to Program Director of 
 Prince George’s County Men Shelter. Jeff specializes in assisting his cl
 ients with locating and maintaining housing\, case management\, HMIS docum
 entation\, and resource management. Jeff is a powerful and effective commu
 nicator who uses his talents in the social services arena to act and speak
  on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves. He does this as a liv
 ed experience advisor\, case manager\, National Coalition of Homelessness 
 speaker and active member on the Continuum of Care Coordinated Entry team.
  Jeff is inspired by his wife\, five children\, four grandchildren and his
  ministry. In his free time\, Jeff enjoys working out\, walking his dog\, 
 and attempting to play golf.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nJoin us in person if possible o
 r on Zoom for a spiritual\, musical service each Friday at 8 pm\, 7:30 on
