SUMMARY:13 Drivers’ Licenses with Lisa Salko
DESCRIPTION:13 Drivers' Licenses is a portable exhibit that tells the indiv
 idual stories of 13 Jewish citizens who were persecuted during the Nazi re
 gime in Lichtenfels\, Germany. The story behind this exhibit is extraordin
 ary. After a discovery was made in an old building in the small Bavarian v
 illage of Lichtenfels of thirteen driving licenses that once belonged to J
 ewish citizens\, these licenses were handed over to a local high school te
 acher. The teacher decided to seize this rare opportunity as a a way to ig
 nite a research project for his students. The students for the next severa
 l months diligently worked on this project until they were able to locate 
 all of the familial descendants of each of these individuals. The students
  reached out to these families\, and notified them about their findings.\n
